NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Please take notice that the City of Belding Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the purpose of receiving comments on proposed amendments to the City of Belding Zoning Ordinance:
The hearing will be held as follows:

An amendment to Section 2.13 (Regulations Applicable to Single-Family (outside Manufactured Home Parks) and Two-Family Dwellings) of the Zoning Ordinance to update design and construction standards for single-family and two-family dwellings.
Copies of the proposed amendment and the City’s Zoning Ordinance are available for public review during regular business hours at Belding City Hall, 120 S. Pleasant Street, Belding, Michigan 48809.
Members of the public are invited to attend and may comment on the proposed amendments. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 PM on November 22, 2025 and may be emailed to jortego@belding.gov or addressed to Janae Ortego, City Clerk, at the above address. Comments may also be made by telephone at (616) 794-1900 during regular business hours.
If special accommodations are needed to participate in this public hearing, please call the City at least three (3) days in advance.

RE: Regular Meeting
The December 23, 2025 Planning Commission meeting has been canceled due to the holidays.
The next regular meeting of the Planning Commission is scheduled for Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pere Marquette Depot. A Special Meeting may be considered, if necessary.
The City of Belding will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at meetings/hearings, to individuals with disabilities attending the meetings/hearings upon 14-day notice to the City of Belding. Inquiries may be made by calling the Janae Ortego, City Clerk at 616-794-1900, ext. 210. Minutes of the public body are stored in the City Clerk’s Office.
