Note that although the majority of the county will have an election on November 4th, none of the races or ballot initiatives affect the City of Belding, Otisco Township or Orleans Township.

"Lil Lady Bugs" Edition
The City recently adopted a "No Feeding of Waterfowl" Ordinance, which helps to keep our beautiful parks clean and the wildlife healthy.
We are again offering FREE dump vouchers this summer, limit oner per household (including apartments). If you need assistance, please reach out to us at City Hall as we have options available to assist you!
The library is offering free lunches to those ages 18 and under from 12-2pm all summer long in the lower level of the library.

Along with welcoming Spring, we also welcome Mr. Keven Krieger as the new City Manager of Belding!
Keven was appointed by the Belding City Council on January 30th and hit the ground running as he assumed his managerial responsibilities on March 3rd. In this edition of the Belding Bugle, Keven shares an introductory article about himself and his family, as well as his priorities and vision for this wonderful little community. Please help us in welcoming Keven in his new role.
Dump vouchers are back! Limited to one per Belding household, you may pick up your FREE Dump Voucher to Pitsch Landfill at City Hall beginning June 1st.
Music by the River starts early this year, beginning on Thursday, May 29th and running weekly though August 28th! Don't miss out on some of your favorite bands, as well as some new ones! FREE popcorn weekly, courtesy of Belding Wesco! Food trucks and baked good sales are also being planned. This program is made possible through donations. We offer sponsorships at varying levels to fit every budget. Please consider donating to this much anticipated event!

"Freezing Temperatures!" Edition
The 2024 Winter Tax Bills were mailed on December 1, 2024. They are due in the office by Wednesday, February 14th. Please contact the Treasurer's Office at 616-794-1900, extension 203 if you haven't received yours yet.
Be sure to read the City Assessor's Article regarding Assessment Change Notices, which you will be receiving in the mail towards the end of February.
It's been a very cold and snowy winter this year. Remember that winter parking rules are in effect through March 31st to help the Public Works staff clear the roads. Also be sure to keep your sidewalks free of ice and snow.
Although it may not seem like it yet, spring is in our near future. Until then, keep warm, everyone!
